IEMS was built on over a decade of experience in African education management, with the product’s origins dating to 2012 under VitalClick Technologies. That history shaped a platform around the practical demands of running a school system at scale: unreliable connectivity, diverse curricula, and administrators who need a system that works on the ground, not just on paper.
The experience is ours; the software is new. IEMS runs on a modern, purpose-built platform — modular, mobile-first, and designed for the connectivity realities of African schools — rather than the 2012 system it learned from. Ministries and institutions get a system built for how schools actually operate, not one adapted from software written for someone else’s market.
Admissions and administration, academics and the classroom, finance and accounting, HR and payroll — in one platform, sharing one learner record. Schools subscribe to the modules they need and add more later; nothing is ever entered twice, and no department keeps its own copy of the truth.

Roughly a third of the schools we build for have unreliable internet. The daily register and timetable work with no signal at all and sync when the connection returns, and every screen is built for an entry-level Android phone.
Every country gets its own curriculum pack, its own regulator export, its own currency and its own payment rails — authored for that market rather than copied from another one with the name changed.
Where a curriculum pack has been checked against the authority’s own documents, we say so. Where it has not yet been, we say that too, on the same page. A figure we cannot measure is left blank rather than filled in.
We build and host the platform ourselves rather than reselling somebody else’s, so a school’s records, its roadmap and the answer to a support call all sit with one accountable party.
IEMS runs in Nigeria and South Africa today, on an architecture built for multi-institution, multi-country deployment. Ghana and Kenya are next.
